Prairie Salvage
We've been here before, BUT there are thousands of camas bulbs, Oregon sunshine, Lomatium and numerous other special prairie plants calling for us to save them from development bulldozers. TO REGISTER for this event: Please submit E-MAIL to anna.thurston@ssstewardship.org BEFORE noon on 3/4/10 (e-mail is how we distribute directions and provide additional guidelines that help you have fun). PLEASE INCLUDE: the names of all people who will be attending, their e-mail address, phone number, and county of origin. Kids under the age of 14 are welcome and require adult supervision. Volunteers are invited to bring their own tools, wheelbarrows, gloves and food. You must also bring your own means of transporting your plants away from the site (truck, trailer, tarps, pots, burlap bags, nursery flats/pots, are all invited). This is a "Take What You Dig" event. If you can DIG it up, you can pack it out!
