"What does happiness look like? How do choices we make about our own trappings and environments reflect our attempts to answer that question? Ellen Ito's sculpture,drawing and installation work explore the intellectual and emotional connection between personal aesthetic choices and feelings of comfort, love and happiness. Ellen is one of the Operators of The Telephone Room Gallery and currently lives and works in Tacoma. Recent exhibitions include the NEXT 2009 Invitational Exhibition of Emerging Art in Chicago, IL and The Helm Gallery in Tacoma, WA."
