James Porter recieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sculpture, as well as a Masters in Sculpture and Drawing from Central Washington University. He has experience teaching a variety of subjects at Central Washington University, the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and at the School of the Arts in Tacoma. He is currently the Senior Preparator at the Tacoma Art Museum.
He has had his art displayed at many exhibits and shows throughout the United States including San Francisco, Texas, New York and the Pacific Northwest.
