The Fund for Women & Girls Grant Information:


The Fund for Women & Girls will support initiatives that address critical issues facing women and girls by providing grants to programs that foster self esteem, self reliance and empowerment for women & girls. Additional priority will be given to programs that cultivate community and experiences of success among women.

The Fund for Women & Girls is excited to announce that we are shortening our grant cycle to improve efficiency! 
 
Important Information:

* We will no longer require the submission of an LOI

* Grant applications will be available starting in Mid-May on our website.  

* We will send a follow up email to notify you 
 
* Agencies new to the FFW&G must complete a phone interview in order for their  application to be considered
 
* Grant applications will be due on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 at 5:00 pm
 
* Notification of funding will be made on January 16th, 2012

To qualify for a grant from The Fund for Women & Girls competitive grantmaking programs, an organizations must:

* Be a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization or be affiliated with a tax-exempt organization

* Serve the residents of Pierce County 

* Not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, physical or mental disabilities, gender or national origin; be inclusive with clients, volunteers and staff.

The grants we provide support organizations to make practical transformations possible for women in Pierce County. Through the Fund for Women & Girls, your gifts empower mothers to overcome substance abuse, equip women to courageously look for a much-needed job, give women license to make long-lasting change with legal support, and connect with girls at a critical crossroads to make exciting choices for a positive future.
 
Thanks to a generous community, over the past 9 years the Fund for Women & Girls has made 110 grants totaling $364,456.00
