Welcome to the online donation page for the Bicycle Safety Foundation Fund at The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation.

Long time Bicycle Alliance member Bob Myrick established the Bicycle Safety Foundation Fund in 2005 to honor fellow cyclists Sue Gygax and Susie Stephens.  Bob was moved to act by the untimely deaths of two special friends.  Susie Stephens, former Executive Director of the Bicycle Alliance, was fatally struck by a bus as she crossed a street in St. Louis in 2002.  Sue Gygax was struck and killed by a motorist as she was cycling with her husband near their home in Lake Chelan in 2005.

The endowed Fund will honor the cyclists' memories while supporting bicycle advocacy with annual contributions to the Bicycle Alliance.  Others are invited to contribute.  If you are 60+, you might also consider creating a charitable gift annuity of $10,000 or more.  You get a great tax deduction plus income for life for you or a loved one, after which time the balance transfers to the Bicycle Safety Foundation Fund.  (For more information on charitable gift annuities, please call 253.383.5622 or e-mail info@gtcf.org.)

Click the "Donate Now" button to make a contribution.  For your protection, all transactions are processed through a Verisign secure server site. You will not be required to provide a credit card number until you hit submit on this page and are taken to the secure site.
